Spokane weather in July can hot but you never know for sure what you are going to get. We've gone camping on 4th of July weekend and spent most of our time under a tarp because of rain. Then again it can be freakin hot, I mean in the 90s as the picture below of Rotary Fountain in Riverfront park can attest.

The picture below shows a typical summer storm brewing to the south of Spokane. From our house we can see them coming from quite a distance. When you see this it's time batten down the hatches because the wind can up fast and strong. They usually produce some spectacular lightning which can cause wild fires. Lets see, strong wind, lightning, dry brush and fire. Not a good situation. We've had some very destructive wild fires in Spokane over the years.

My advice for you if you are wondering what kind of weather to plan for is to bring the shorts and sandals but also bring a light jacket in case of the occasional summer storm.
