One of The Best Spokane Restaurants - Gordy's Sichuan Cafe

If you are looking for Spokane Restaurants that serve great Chinese food, Gordy's Sichuan Cafe is the place to go. We've been going here for years and have never been disappointed. Gordy's is tucked away in a little building just off Grand Ave. on the Spokane's South Hill. It's a little hidden but is well worth searching for.

I remember what my wife said the first time we went there many years ago, "I'm not sure about this place, the chef is not even Chinese".

Well the food ended up being fantastic. I don't care what nationality Gordy is, the dude knows how to cook. 

This is the kind of place where the flavors jump off plate and smack you upside the head.

I'm mad at myself for not taking pictures of the dishes that we had the last time we went there.

I guess that means we'll have to go back again...

Update: My wife and I went for lunch at Gordy's after a trip to Green Bluff and some wine tasting at Townshend Cellars. Here is a picture of one of my favorite Gordy creations, Hot Bean Vegetable Fried Noodle. It's fairly spicy and it pops right off the plate.

Here is my wife's favorite dishes, Hunan Beef. It's also very spicy but should not be missed if you happen to go there. Sorry this picture turned out a little blurry. I'll blame it on the wine tasting we did before lunch. That's another story that I need to get to.
