Franks Diner has been voted as Spokane's Best Breakfast 10 out of the last 11 years. It would be hard for me to argue otherwise. They serve a massive breakfast and I think the quality is the best in Spokane. Big thick slices of bacon. Stacks of pancakes and piles of hash browns. I'm taking about a man's sized breakfast. If you are hungry for a traditional American style breakfast then this one of the best restaurants in Spokane to check out.
There is also something about dining in a vintage train car that adds to the experience. The antique wood and brass of the interior makes the atmosphere warm and inviting.
The original diner started in Seattle by Frank Knight in about 1931 and operated their until 1991 when Franks heirs lost the lease. It was bought and moved to Spokane where it has been serving up great food ever since.
It should be noted that there are three diners that are housed in train cars in Spokane. The two Frank's diners and Knight's Diner that was started in 1949 by Franks brother Jack who was a headwaiter at the Davenport Hotel.
Frank's
Diners serve breakfast, lunch and dinner from their huge menu of traditional diner
fare.
I usually go for the breakfast but have also tried other menu items such as the chicken pot pie which is one of my favorites. My son usually gets one their burgers which are also man sized. Do your self a favor and check them out. You won't be sorry.
