There are several Coeur D Alene restaurants that we make it a point to visit whenever we come over. Some of them we make a special trip to have romantic dinner and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Here are our favorites that will enhance your visit to Coeur D'Alene and make for a memorable time.
At the top of our Coeur D Alene restaurants list is Angelo's Ristorante. Angelo's makes some of the best Italian food this ex-Californian has ever had. The flavors jump off the plate and will have you coming back again and again. The last time I was there for lunch I had Penne Al Positano and all I can tell you is that it was outstanding. Simple yet delicious.

Update: We went to Angleo's on a Thursday night for dinner and discovered that 4th street was being re-paved so the road was closed. We ended up having to take side street until we could cut across the construction to get to the restaurant. Surprisingly we found the place was packed with customers. A week night and road construction was not a barrier to Angelo's faithful customers.
My
wife and son both had Buccatini De Mare which is grilled sea scallops, Prawns
and clams on a bed of pasta. Buccatini is the pasta with a hole in the middle.
The sauce is made with a hint of tomato, garlic and white wine. Of course there is also a mixture of herbs that make for a very subtle but complex flavor. The scallops were grilled perfectly. Very soft and sweet. Grilling helps to retain the flavor of the sea food.
I
love a good Veal Parmigiano and I think they do a great job. Their tomato sauce
is packed with flavor. Lots of garlic and herbs.
I can't say enough about this restaurant except make the drive from Spokane, you won't be sorry!

If
Greek food is what you are after you can't go wrong with The Olympia.
They have great Falafel which my wife's favorite. I like the Souvlaki which is the hamburger of Greece so I am told. It is a flat bread stuffed with roasted meat of your choice, either beef, lamb or pork. I like to ask for Feta cheese on mine.
I have only been there for lunch but I want to try the dinner menu some time. I'll update this page when I do and let you know.

Our
Coeur D Alene
restaurants list would not be complete without including Hudson's Hamburgers
which has been here since 1907. I think they make the best burgers I've ever
had. I'll have to warn you though, if you are looking for a gourmet burger
restaurant this is not the place for you.
Hudson's burgers are served with just the bare essentials (there's that word again) meaning you can only get cheese, pickle and onions on them. They also don't offer fries or any other side.
Don't let that deter you though. There is something about the meat that they use that make them taste soooo good! And the sauces that they make (which can buy to take home) are outstanding.
If you notice in the picture above that the guy is rushing to get in before the lunch crowd hits but its probably to late because there are already people standing against the front window.
A word to wise, get there by 11:00 am before the lunch crowd hits or you will be standing around waiting for a stool to open up.
