Newspapers

There is only one daily newspaper in Spokane, that being the Spokesman-Review. There are also two smaller niche papers: The Journal of Business and The Inlander.

  • The Spokesman-Review - The S-R is the only daily newspaper in Spokane. Like many papers around the country, the S-R went through severe staff layoffs in 2007 and the paper itself has shrunk in size.

  •
  • The Inlander - Weekly alternative newspaper the covers arts and entertainment as well as local human interest stories.
  • You can usually find this paper in restaurants and coffee shops around town.

  • The Journal of Business – A bi-weekly business newspaper focusing on the local business scene. You can find the Journal in book stores like Barnes & Noble and news stands and I have also see it in grocery stores.

One great place to find newspapers and books is locally owned Auntie's Book Store in downtown Spokane. They have a huge selection of new and used books to choose from and is just a fun place to hang out.

Also, check out Uncle's Games Puzzles and More which is part of Auntie's.
